Steeplechase Apartments

Some things never change From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 3/29/2007 Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2005   At first i had a ground floor apartment and things were fine for a few months. Then came my neighbors; the apartments next door to me as well as above me had numerous kids living there as well other kids who would come over and play EVERY LOUDLY early in the morning in a grassy area in front of our apartments. As well as taking various items like 2X4s and other construction tools; out of the garabge area and using them for whatever reason, then leaving them there. Not to mention high stereo volume coming from the apartments as well as people sitting in their cars with the music blasting, just "hanging out" late at night. These usually were guest of tenants. Then my apartment got robbed and steeplechase did NOTHING for me. My door was crow-bared and maintenance did not come out to fix it until a week later since my door could technically still "close". (i stayed with friends during this time) Then i was informed that i needed a whole new door and that would take weeks to be completed. The police did not interview any of my neighbors, dispite my telling them that i knew for a fact my next door neighbors had people living there than DID NOT WORK AT ALL AND WAS ALWAYS HOME. Then management informed me that they finally had a new apartment i could move into on the other side of the complex and this time on the 2nd floor...but i would still have to pay last months rent to move out of the old apartment, then pay first month to move into the new apartment. SAME APARTMENT COMPLEX!! I had less kids and noise to deal wih; this time it was 2 birds making a nest above the stairs; droppings COVERED the handrails and stairs, maintenance did nothing about the problem for months. Also i had male neighbors on the 3rd floor that liked to sit out on the balcony and yell various remarks down to women as either went home or left home. BEWARE AT ALL COST!!!!
