I currently live in Truman Park and after looking at the nicer apts in the area I would recommend them just b/c they are newer (my only other recommendation would be the Archstone Governer's Green in Bowie). First of all, the staff are very pleasant and responsive--until you move in. Afterwards, they are very rude. That's when you have to go see them otherwise they will never respond to your msgs). The apts aren't bad, but they force you to sign a 16 month lease so they won't have vacants in the winter! The gate is frequently broken so people can get in, break-ins occur, and trash is often left on premises. If you have the opportunity--go buy your own house.
