UPDATE:
I am happy to say that the management has moved us into a new building/apt. that is bug free and a bit nicer. This is the type of management that shows they are willing to accomodate their residents.
From other reviews, our bug problem looks to be an isolated incident. So I wouldn't worry about this if you are considering moving here. The management has surely made up for the incident and in the end, we are happy.
PART 1
I have to say that when I first moved in, everything looked good and clean. The paint was in good shape, the management was very nice/helpful, parking wasn't bad, and everything was in working order. The maintenance was extra fast, I have to say, I had water dripping from my A/C in the master bedroom closet and they came an hour after I called to fix it (the maintenance guy lived directly above me). Everyrthing seemed great. The only thing that was a bit odd were that I saw a few small roaches around the place and some dead bugs.
Upon the first night, I came back to move the rest of my stuff in, turn on the lights and see roaches everywhere! I don't get freaked out by the occasional insect... but there were atleast 5 in each bedroom, big and small. The kitchen was the worst, there were atleast 20-30 baby roaches on the walls, floors, and ceiling. Not to mention the big ones that come out of the electrical sockets and vents running accross the carpet and walls. It's great having to worry about stepping on one when I walk from my bedroom to the bathroom.
I put in requests to have them taken care of last week and am still waiting for pest control to come. Thank goodness I dont have to actually live there until a few weeks from now. By then if there are still roaches, I will pursue ending my lease and living somewhere else! It is simply inhabitable and not in compliance with Anne Arundel's Housing, Maintenance, and Occupancy Code (Article 22).
I don't want to worry about roaches in my food and in my bedroom when I sleep.
I will definitely post an updated review when this issue is HOPEFULLY resolved

I have to say that I appreciate you moving us to another apartment. The new place is very nice and bug free. I'm glad the management is willing to accomodate its residents. I hope the apartment is fumigated for the next residents that will move into it.
I will write another review to explain the corrective actions that management took. The helpfullness of the staff should be known to possible residents, as that is one of the major factors considered when picking an apt. complex. Thanks again for your help

I think that you are one of the few that actually take the time out to be fair to these apartment complexes... I am looking for an apartment and this has been a great tool for weeding out and thinking of questions to ask any apartment manager. But I wanted to take the time out to applaude and thank you for returning to the site and informing us that they did correct it. It gives people like me hope that I would not be walking into a trap.
Congrats and I hope all is well!

I am so happy that they actually moved you into another unit...now if they would just do the same for us! We have had these roaches for MONTHS now, and it is HELL trying to get them out to the house to spray the bugs. It is disgusting, and the staff don't give a ----.

I will be moving in soon and dispise roaches and pest of any kind. What building did you have the problem in? I moved from a previous complex because of roaches. The sad thing was that the rental office said that my problem was not that bad compared to other tenants. It was bad enough for me. I do not have any roaches where I live now but wanted to move closer to my job. The commute is killing me!
