oh boo hoo! they towed my car because my plates were expired! WOW! imagine that?!? you think that wont happen anywhere else? cmon now - mva sent you mail months in advance to get a registration, and now youre blaming the apt complexs towing company? give me a friggin break! open your mail every now and then.
as far as the visitor parking situation is concerned: while that space has decreased, you also have to remember that at least ppl can park there. theres none of that asinine "you have to sign for a permit" crap that a lot of other places insist you do. this means you actually can have last minute guests without having to worry about where they park. if you cant find a spot directly in front of your bldg, then you just drive around until you do see one. whats wrong with a little exercise?
im signing yet another lease here. yes im not happy about the overall rent increases, but have you noticed that half of you nitwits leave every light and appliance on all damn day and night? do you realize that a recession may cause prices for many things to go up? it sucks having to pay the extra $100 a year, but hell, you do get a nice place to live. drive 5 min down the road and see what the other apt complexes look like. they look like crap.
yes, the workout room is admittedly small. i go there on a fairly regular basis and have yet to workout with anyone else though. it would be nice to see some later hours (like the extended t/th hrs they used to have), but if no one shows up, then why should they waste money staffing an extra 4 hrs a week? theres your rent increase right there! they are open saturday as well.
i think my *only* gripe is when my door is used as a bulletin board for their notices. its not really a major annoyance, but i just happen to be the door that ppl see when they go to their doors.
its quiet, its safe, and location to shopping is great. their annual tenant party is a nice touch, because at least they *try* to appease us. my last place sucked goat ---...no attempts to do anything. count your blessings.
a tenant association would be nice, but you have to focus on *real* issues and not whine because ppl get towed for making mistakes. im for it, but im not going to hear ppl cry for an hour - unless theres some cheese to go with the whine.
also note: some of you complaining are on your 2nd or 3rd year of tenancy. thats obviously saying that other places you look at dont compare on some scale. hard to go back to crap, eh? try living in pg county again.
p.s. those are some damn good oatmeal raisin cookies after my workouts.
