I've lived in Avondale Apartments for almost six months now. I personally, have never seen one mouse, nor have I heard any. My response to the previous reviewer is, dirty people attrack dirty little things.

I have no grips about the building. The rents kinda pricey, but considering the extras (gated community, friendly staff, on site security, a pool, accessible laundry facilities, and on site maintenance) it's worth it. The layout is similiar to an upscale hotel. The rooms are okay in size, and the glass doors make for a beautiful view.
My one and only negative: They falsely advertised the continental breakfast. It's only available sporatically. Sometimes, all that's there are dry cookies and watered down lemondade.

Overall it's one of the best places in laural to stay.

My response to this review is: YOU don't have to be dirty/nasty housekeeper to get mice. The little critters can squeeze and get into brand new dwellings, building, stores, etc. I've been in Lowe's up the street, and saw a mouse run across the concrete floors. I don't think this is a fair statement, because my apt. in clean and I have had a mouse. Avondale apts. are nice, and I would recommend for anyone looking to move to Laurel. It is close to nearby shopping, bus service, and much more. The day time staff are very responsive, and very polite.
