It's okay for Laurel

I've been a resident at the Avondale for a while. The guards are very courteous, and the fence is a welcome site. The bldg. inside is always clean.
It's nice to come in and not see as many children playing in the TV room or romping in the lobby area.
I would like to see cleaner chairs in the social room, and cleaner furniture in the lobby. The 1 bedrooms are small, but the bathrooms are nicely lit and bright. Good private balconies.
The previous review stated only their opinion of the dismissal of the Manager (Amy). The Company for whatever reason made a good decision to remove her from the Avondale. (I don't know the circumstances) but...good riddance!
My opinion is Amy was unprofessional in demeanor and attire. She really needed training in people skills, and common courtesy. With her being in the capacity of
Management she didn't demonstrate the skills of an on site manager.
The residents are friendly, and everyone pitches in (if needed) to help one another.
There are new faces in the office, and I hope this winter the sidewalk snow/ice removal is better than it has been in the past.
The new maintenance man is pleasant and Sharron. I think the night desk staff needs replacing. The night desk lady is rude, and needs some training in customer service. The night desk man is just weird, and at times he acts like he doesn't comprehend the English language.
For anyone looking for a place to feel safe and at home..stop in and visit the Avondale.
