Could be better, but could be much worse...

We've been here for 3 years and overall it hasn't been bad...it hasn't been fantastic, but not bad. I'm sure some people have had their issues, as we've had a few, but you just have to keep on people to get things done, like you would just about anywhere else. Noise is a definite issue specifically if you live on the first or second floor. Inside, the apartments are a bit dated & nothing special. Whoever did the drywall sucked...seams etc everywhere. The grounds are kept up well...mostly clean & landscaped nicely. People seem nice/normal, though most keep to themselves. We have a small dog and there doesn't seem to be an overpopulation of people with pets. The pool & the clubhouse are quite nice and they have a racquetball court as well, which is a nice feature. They have a small workout area, good for a little treadmill work & your standard 1975 Universal machine...though I hear they may have got some new equipment. For someone more serious, keep the gym membership.
Overall, we looked in Columbia due to our need to stay between Balt/DC and we thought that this was definitely the best bang for the buck...Columbia apts were very similar to worse and were $300 more per month minimum?that's excluding the newer apartments by the mall and on Snowden...much nicer, much pricier. Location-wise it?s a gem.
