I've been living at Bowling Brook for 2 years and moving out at the end of the month.
There isn't much to rave about...the apartments are in fair condition, but cracks in door frames and thin construction makes heating and AC pretty expensive.
The leasing staff is pretty unresponsive. Some are just IQ-challenged.
There were ants in the apartment, and the exterminator actually lied to the leasing staff and wrote an order saying he'd sprayed in our apt when we were waiting for him the entire day and he never came! And the leasing staff stuck up for him...
Other problems - this area isn't the best. We have a someone dealing pot out of the apartment below us...I guess it could be cocaine or something, which would be worse.
Three times in the past year, tires have been slashed in front of my building. There are trashy people living in the complex...of course, there are also some really nice people--just like anywhere.
In regards to the noise, it isn't better or worse than any other complex...you can hear most anything that goes on in the apt below or above you, and that's just a fact of life. There is a woodsy area to walk in not too far away, and having savage mill so close is awesome. but there aren't too many good things to say about bowling brook.
i'm looking forward to leaving...
