I've lived here for several years; when I first rented here, it was about what I expected - looked nice at first glance, but then you have the usual problems.

* Management at most places is poor, although it is worse than most here - they seem to have high turnover, which probably adds to the problem.

* I hadn't had any major problems, but it took *forever* for these folks to fix my washer/dryer. A month without a dryer is really uncalled for. I'd have called their upper management, but they refuse to give out any other telephone numbers.

* Parking varies - it depends on where in the complex you live. There are places where folks park on the street because of inadequate parking, and then there are places where there are a dozen spaces next to each other.

HOWEVER...the real problem is that the overall quality of the place is declining, and the folks that are moving in are...well, the overall level of income is dropping, shall we say' My neighbors are great - but walking through the complex isn't something I'd want to do at night. Toys in the "front yard", folks with BBQ grills (illegal), barking dogs on leashes attached to the building (illegal) - all I have to say is, "halleluiah! We're moving into our house in 3 months!"

i agree, the neighborhood itself is going down. our 1 year lease is up, and we're moving into columbia now, to a bit nicer neighborhood. i'm not afraid of my safety or anything, but its not what i'm comfortable with.
