You wouldn't not know it from the outside, but I lived at Bowling Brook Apartment since 2005, and moved out last week, -- and it is your worse apartment complex nightmare. I agreed with all the reviews -- the management doesn't know anything, especially when the assistant manager is the property manager's --------. Anyways --- Black mold was growing from the top apartment to my apartment on the lower level due to the Hvac system pans overflowing and condisation lines not being properly maintained. When the water finally reached the bottom apartment -- mine, it was so bad that whole rooms including drywall and carpet had to be torn out and ac had to be turned off. You can't live in a place like that -- had to move because it couldn't be fixed in a timely fashion, and they are still riping up the top two apartments.
I really don't think that the background check is done on residents due to a few major issues such as the following: The man in the 2nd floor apartments shot a hole into the floor of the 3rd floor apartment because he was cleaning his gun -- luckly they were not home, since it was in their son's bedroom that the hole went through the floor.personally it was probably from the frequent parties that he threw until 2-3am in the morning. Windows out of cars were smashed out on Easter Sunday from various residents and items were stolen -- no help from the management again. Or from other residents letting homeless people hang at their place -- at getting a call a work -- someone messed with the locks - may have tried to break in, and when described the person -- I recognized the person. The grounds are disgusting -- trash, trash, and more trash. The kitchens are old and new updating. But what really hit home was the unlivale conditions from the mold and water damage and no help from the management -- not even to move us to a new apt. Because they don't have any apt ready -- due to maintenance shortage --- or I would say due to lack of knowledge and skills. Nothing is ever -- ever fixed -- we ended up making due or for ex: buying our own air filters -- because in the 2 yrs -- no one ever can to check on anything.
