Not worth the money...

I know people usually come to post their negative remarks on this site. I m posting in an effort to share my balanced view of Bowling Brook Apartments to help people make an informed decision before renting. First, would I recommend this apartment to my friends or family' Probably not.
These apartments are in a nice area, quiet, I feel safe walking the dog or taking a walk by myself. There is ample parking on the Knights Bridge side, although I believe it s because most of the apartments where I am are vacant. I ve never had a problem with any of our neighbors.
The apartments are spacious, that s what initially caught the interest of my husband and me. We moved into a loft apartment about a year ago. That was our first mistake; the loft area is never comfortable. It is unbearably hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Since the heat and A/C unit are inefficient for the main part of the apartment, they do absolutely nothing for the loft. Why pay for space you really can t use'
This leads to the next problem since the heating and air conditioning unit is inadequate. We have been faced with outrageous electric bills - more than any of our friends that own houses bigger than this apartment. The system runs continuously. We have submitted ticket after ticket; I ve lost count of exactly how many. Maintenance comes out, tinkers with the system, it works for a day, a couple days, or a week and then stops. Each time, maintenance finds some part that needs to be replaced. We were told the system would be replaced, it never was. Instead, we re treated as if we don t know how to use heat and air conditioning. Obviously the office didn t care that some days and nights the summer temperatures would climb to over 90 degrees and the air conditioning would be blowing warm air. They seemed to feel that since it was blowing at all that we should be satisfied with that. Until they do something about the antiquated windows and HVAC system this place will be a financial drain.
The bottom line is we will be leaving when our lease it up because it simply costs too much money to stay here and be uncomfortable.
