BGE bill will be astronomical unless you a) turn your heat off in the winter and use space heaters only when you're home (otherwise your bill for a two bedroom apartment will top 450 dollars a month), b) close all your blinds and use multiple fans in summer while keeping your AC set to 80. And don't use the thermostats they have, call BGE who will for free install a PeakRewards digital thermostat. The Bowling Brook thermostats are 30 years old with mercury inside of them and are completely inaccurate.

Walls/windows are paper thin: you can hear quiet conversations in the parking lot with everything sealed shut. You will hear every car alarm like it's in your living room. You can hear Savage Mill's live music night every Thursday night.

Clean everything diligently, otherwise you will have giant black flies, cockroaches, and other crawling things (our roommate was disgusting, hence the sudden appearance of bugs) coming in from who knows where.

Parking is decent, not reserved, grounds are well maintained, pool is constantly full of screaming children, maintenance takes days to come out to fix things like broken dishwasher or hot water heater, maintenance staff are 500% more polite than the leasing staff.

You must mail your checks to the company's head office in Timonium. You cannot drop them off at the office, unless you're driving your check to Timonium itself.

Appliances are crap. Do not use timed dry for the dryer; doesn't work, the fridge freezes everything on the top shelf and rots everything in the produce drawer, the freezer gives everything horrific freezer burn after a few days, dishwasher is next to useless AND inefficient; they would much rather "fix" problems than actually replace the items, even when blatantly requiring replacement.

You will feel all the uneven floorboards beneath the thin, crappy carpet. Your tub will leak along the side onto the floor, something in the water or leaching out of the pipes leaves red marks in your toilet, tub and sink, the tiles in the floor will come loose.

I agree 1000%. I'm moving out this month because they're charging me over $1200 for this crap. I was woken up laast sunday morning at 1:30am by CHILDREN screaming and running around in the parking lot.
