I am a young professional who relocated to the area a year ago, I've been in briarwood the entire time and will be moving to annapolis next month. This apartment complex has it's positives and negatives. Upon moving in my oven was broken and they wouldn't fix it for over a month, I think that was mainly because i talked to the wrong management personel. Kathy lied to me almost daily and eventually I just had to call the Company's owner to get it dealt with. Yes there are kids who treat the parking lot like their playground, it's not all that bad tho, for the price you can't really expect much more from the complex, reasonably clean and really nice apartments, mine had all new appliances and carpet. For 799 for a decent size 1 bedroom you really can't beat it. I would say my expeience has been so so, a quick rundown of the pros and cons, rent is cheap and it is a nice apartment so long as no problems arise. although my buildings water was turned off 3 seprate occasions due to something wrong with the pipes this is an inconvience but i dealt. security wise it has been okay, i've seen slashed tires and one broken winshield but the person was parked across two spaces so i assume sombody took offence to that. i wouldn't reccomend strolling arround at night but that's pretty much anywhere in pg county. i have a corner apt so i hardly hear any noise and i'm even back near the train tracks which suprisingly didn't bother me at all. management staff is moody it seems depending on what day you get them wether you have a good experience or not. Overall I would rate my experience as a C for under 1000/month I don't see how you can expect excellence. I'm sure there are people who have had much worse experiences and those who have had much better. I would probably reccomend this complex but at least an informed warning/discussion with the person first. To me it's not as bad as some of the reviews or as good. Good luck!
