a horrible experience...

Be warned. There is no peace or quiet in this community. Clearly this is a beautiful property, however the noise level is excessive, frustrating, annoying and chronic. The residents are typically unconcerned and ignorant of apartment etiquette and the property management does nothing to screen or improve upon the quality of individual they are willing to rent to. This is an extremely expensive ghetto. In the time I've lived here, the property has declined significantly in the appearance of the hallways and interior property, the caliber of residents and the overall 'luxury' concept of the property. Although the main building and offices are impeccable, it is not unusual to see trash outside a resident's door in the hallways (- horrible conditions in the trash rooms -) or sitting on a balcony for weeks/months at a time. Doors slamming, children screaming in the hallways, stomping and banging overhead and next door are constant. Many times the security gate is not in working order, the parking lot is full of cars that are not qualified to be there - including some individuals who park in the handicapped spaces illegally - with no repurcussion from the property management or police (who I suspect do not visit our garage/property as has been suggested and promised). I have been asssured, on more than one ocassion, that security personel would be on the property to ensure safety. This is not consistant and a concern due to auto vandals, thefts and apartment robberies that have occured frequently on this property. The hallway walls are dented, scratched and marred... the carpeting in the hallways is filthy and in need of repair. Once in, a resident is treated in an off handed way when dealing with the office whenever attempting to resolve any issue. Consider also, that your unit and balconies are facing other units and balconies. You must always keep your blinds closed for privacy purposes, otherwise your neighbor can see into your home and vice versa. These concerns are not apparent while on your impressive tour of the property, as the apartments are very nice and spacious, however after a short time of residence, one will realize that they will suffer horrible noise problems, dangerous security issues and inconsiderate neighbors and management. Those tenants who are unconcerned about such issues are typically the offenders... obviously accustomed to inferior living conditions. It is difficult to believe that your neighbor is unaware that slamming, stomping, children screaming, throwing trash in the garage, hallways and on the grounds is acceptable. Although management should be held responsible for these horrible living conditions, the residents are considerably more than half of the problem at Concord Park. Bozzutto needs to reclaim this property by creating a standard for prospective tenants (as was the case when the property first opened, creating a mandatory 'noise' contract and sticking to their policies, maintenance up-keep and promises to their rule obiding and considerate residents.
