Oh MY. I HATE, HATE, HATE ants with a passion LOL. I would not know what to do if that happened to me. Did you finally move out or are you still here? I live at Colony Hill Apts/Townhomes in Halethorpe, MD and it sucks here. The crime here has gotten bad and the Leasing Center does NOTHING about it. I have always driven past County Meadows but I am reading these responses to see if it is worth it to even stop in (the lease here is up in August, YAY) and I might just move to Hagerstown or something. The crime rate is lower there but sadly so is the cost of living. Best of wishes to you. Take care.

Ants are a way of life. My parents have lived in their house for 24 years, and they get ants, especially in the winter. Ants come inside because it's cold. You would do the same if you were the size of a pencil eraser, it's cold out there in the snow. They are looking for food. They are animals just like us, need food to survive. Mice/Roaches are things you can avoid.

Sure it's a way of life...when they are outside. A person should not have to live with ants in the winter time when there is snow on the ground..because that is what I went through! Is it okay to live with ants year round? I don't think so! To answer catlover84..yes I am still here (bound by a lease). After going through several cans of Raid and ant baits, I finally wrote the regional office a three page letter regarding requests made to try and figure out where the ants were coming in from, as well as, my building frustration. The owner (who by the way is a nice guy from the meeting I had with him) came to inspect the apartment twice. They sent a professional out to treat the windows and other various areas. Guess what?? I still see ants but it is not as bad as it was. The owner did grant me a transfer to another apartment (with the stipulation that I sign another 1 year lease...the previous lease will be broken to accommodate the new). I am praying that I don’t have this problem with the apartment I am transferring to. AS for comments made by jklsjr2007...you sound just like the residential manger from County Meadows she told me the exact same thing you wrote (in fact word for word) for a response. Isn’t that ironic? Don’t you think?
