this complex is a joke

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008
The day we moved in, we had to scrub out our cabinets because there was nasty sticky stuff all over. They still aren't clean because this stuff was just caked on. The sink was leaking in the master bathroom, and it smelt all moldy. Maintenance came in and they "didn't smell anything" so they just put a wood board down and left. We dealt with it, by putting a cup under there to catch the water.
Then, someone in the building complained about bugs, so we got fogged and sprayed, a total of 3 times. And guess what, there are still bugs. We keep a clean kitchen, so we know someone else in that building is nasty. Probably the obnoxious people who live upstairs who can't control their children. But even better, they came in, set the bombs off, and left. Didn't open the windows, so when we came in after the fogging, we thought we were going to die. They also left the cans all around our apartment. They made us clean out our cabinets, and didn't even bomb in them.
Maintenance is slow, and the staff isn't very helpful. Well, they were when we went to look at the place, but not after we moved in.
The screendoor to our patio area isn't even on the track so it doesn't close properly. The dryer wasn't working because the vent was too close to the wall, so they had to remove the doors and pull the dryer out a bit, so now we have to hang a curtain to block the beautiful washer and dryer they gave us (please note the sarcasm there). The walls are PAPER THIN. I can hear everything my neighbors do, they don't have to be yelling, i can hear them have conversations, and I'm sure they hear me singing in the shower. Don't go by the windows during the winter either, it's freezing. I have my hamper by the window, and when I go to wash my clothes, they feel like ice. It's like living at college again, that was the main thing I wanted to get away from.
The "gym" has 2 treadmills, a weight machine thing that is terrible (i saw a hotel that had a bigger one), an eliptical and a bike, which was broken for over a month.
The only good thing about this place is the proximity to major roadways, Baltimore and DC, although don't try to make a left hand turn out of the complex during rush hour, you'll be waiting a while.
A problem with Laurel in general, two convicts excaped from the hospital within 3 months of each other.
