For a user friendly, easy read, issues are below in bullet format:
∙ Property Management staff is unfriendly, unorganized and unprofessional.
∙ The water heater flooded - their fix: dry out the carpet with a fan and deal with the mold/mildew later.
∙ The garbage disposal broke - their fix: convince me that it wasnt broken until they finally decided to fix it.
∙ The heating unit had a knocking sound outside of 3rd floor bedroom - Their fix: convince me that it wasnt knocking but that it was normal "knocking" of a heating unit.
∙ The carpet was dirty upon move-in and the specific items were noted on the move-in checklist. PM staff insisted that it was customary to charge a carpet wear and tear clean-up fee and withheld this from my deposit.
∙ The bath tubs were not clean upon move-in. PM staff insisted that they were dirtier than they were upon move-in (when in fact, I had a bi-weekly housekeeper) and withheld a cleaning fee from my deposit.
∙ The Kithen tiles were old and worn and throughout the stay, many of the tiles had to be replace because the glue/cement released them. PM staff insisted that I was at fault for 15 year old loose tiles and withheld tile replacement from my deposit.
∙ The apartment listed itself as a "luxury" complex. The one thing that makes this luxury are the cable connectors in everyroom.
∙ The tennis court is more like a graveled parking lot.
∙ My car was broken into. While I am not faulting Country Meadows Apartments for this, it should still be noted.
For the price, consider one of the other many and true "luxury" apartments in Laurel where you will experience a much friendlier property management staff, higher quality amenities, an honest move-in and move-out policy and nice accomodations to boot.
