I am literally counting the days to the end of my lease. Hindsight is indeed 20/20, however I hope that you will benefit from reading this review and NOT repeat my dire mistake in renting at Crestleigh. Do not, I repeat DO NOT be fooled by the well manicured lawns and newly paved parking lots, unless you intend to live out there. Of course, then you'll have to deal with the marijuana smoking teenagers who love to hang out in the Tot Lots. The conditions of the apartments and treatment by the office staff, including the Management office in Bethesda is abominable. Do not bother to attempt contacting Realty Managment in Bethesda, you will be cleverly stonewalled and ignored. One cannot even get a simple email address. At Crestleigh, you will find old appliances (unless you choose to pay the substantial fee for the "newer" appliances), which work sometimes, oftentimes NOT. The office policy for "fixing" a broken appliance is to swap it with someone else's old, broken appliance. I've literally gone through three old washing machines within the last few months. This is a major inconvenience, unless you foolishly take the risk with your property by leaving the office with full access to your apartment. Again, another mistake I made. I had items stolen from my apartment and have heard other tenants complain of the same thing, despite the office's "claim" of no reports of such activity. Therefore, my entire sentence at Crestleigh has been wrought with the inconvenience of having to take off from work for maintenance issues, extermination for the horrible infestation of ROACHES and ANTS, and the annoying frequent checks by Crestleigh of various things in the apartment. The worst and by far most despicable event was today's "emergency" call home from work, with the threat of having the office BREAK INTO my apartment through the window, (giving people ideas) if I did not arrive by a certain time. Not to mention the threat of being locked out once they changed the locks after breaking in. Only to arrive and determine that is was a FALSE claim by the property manager to get me here before she had to pay overtime rates. Do not be fooled by the sweet high pitched "grandma" voice of the property manager. You will be so very sorry. Learn from my mistakes and look at any of the other properties in the area. I would have written more, but am faced with potential legal action with these terrible people, and do not want to reveal everything in this forum. Stay clear of this headache. Good Luck!
