Evergreens at Laurel Apartments

So I've read all the comments about the initial meeting of some of the leasing agents. I have to tell you, that due to the rudeness of 'the one', round, heavy set woman with a bucket load of makeup, I was discouraged from moving in. The attitude was uncalled for, however, time was not on my side, and I actually moved in with the notion of moving out once my lease was up. However, after moving in, and having a few short discussions with the women in the leasing office, this topic came up. I work in property management, and have worked with one of the leasing agents in the past. She says that the area where Evergreens is located was on a decline for awhile, due to residents from the nearby apartments. This makes sense, as when I tell people where I live, they say, Ohhh Evergreens is nice, just dont go down the street. I get the idea that, the leasing agents try to weed out 'bad seeds' but lets try and keep in mind fair housing laws. Once I moved in, or as I like to say "passed the test', the office is very very very accomodating. The community is SO QUIET. I had concerns, being a single mother of a little girl. The grounds are VERY WELL MAINTAINED. I love my kitchen, as it is quite large and roomy. The apartments are relatively smaller than most in the area, but you get used to it. I love Evergreens, and appreciate the 'side eye' that the leasing consultants give. Like a mama bear protecting her cubs. Maintenance is wonderful, and though I dont know any of my neighbors on first name basis, they are all very polite. I have already planned my life around Evergreens. I feel settled here. The only thing I want to change is, moving from my 2 bed into a 3 bed. As I said before, the room sizes, with exception to the kitchen are relatively small, so we need this extra room for all of my daughters things that are spilling out of her room. I have lived here since December 08, and have not had one roach, one mouse. I did have an issue with ants in the spring time, couldnt figure out where they were coming in from. Called maintenance and they fogged it once, and I havn't seen anything since. The secuurity is nice too. I love my brinks home system, and have a few envious friends with bigger, more spacious apartments, that tell me everytime they visit, how they wished they had one too.

I've been at the Evergereens for a year and I like living here, but there has to be something done about the staff in the management office.
