My First and My Favorite

When my fiance and I set out in search of an apartment, we had our hearts set on a place called Willow Oaks. We revisited the model apartment weekly and were certain that we could live nowhere else. The day we walked in with our applications in hand, a woman turned to us and told us that she could take our money if we really wanted-but that we had no hope in hell of getting in.
We left heartbroken and all we wanted was to run back home and never look at another apartment in Virginia. But we had to keep looking-and we drove in circles until we arrived at Fox Rest Apartments. We were still slightly sniffling when we stepped through the door of the rental office-and we were greeted by Angela Burnett-Apartment Manager. We told her our sob story and she was appalled.

Neither my fiance nor myself had much credit or any rental experience, and Angela worked with us to beef up our appearance on paper and in a few months we moved in.

The apartments are pretty huge, and all your utilities are included in your rent-so if you're anything like absent-minded me, this is very helpful. Every on the staff is friendly and prompt to help out. I once clogged the life out of my toilet (and was terribly embarrassed about it) but the maintenance staff was out in an hour to fix it-always smiling.

I do hear my neighbor occasionally (well his little boy mostly), but to me it just contributes to how homey this place feels.

And while I'm on the noise...My first week here I was standing in the hall, getting my mail, and I heard some...intimate noises...The front door is in the living room-so if you are hoping to see some action on the couch...you may want to keep it down. ;-)

Unfortunately my circumstances have changed so I will nto be renewing my lease-but Fox Rest will undoubtedly remain in my mind as the best choice for apartment life in Richmond. P0MtU6TIdDkM23RTonAS
