If you have decency in your heart, pride in your community, and like to be drama free...i would not recommend these apartments.
My basement apartment flooded several times. We experienced a flood 3 weeks before we moved out last summer. Water coming from the ceiling at a very rapid pace. When we cleaned the apartment on our move out day, maintenance still had a 3 foot long hole in the ceiling covered with a black trash bag. This was were the vents were located. We could not use our AC for three weeks and it was over 85 degrees outside.
Guess what...they deducted $300 from our security deposit to clean the apartment. I wish that we could post the pictures that we took after we cleaned & vacuumed the apartment on our move out day. We could have put Molly maid to shame. Were we charged $300 because they had to clean up their mess from the flood'
I can remember feeling my heart drop and being scared senseless when I came home from school one night around 9pm and a rockweller greeted me about 30 feet from my building. No one else in sight.
I have seen police completing reports of vandalism and stolen vehicles. Read the washington post crime reports for the street addresses in this neighborhood.
For the residents that live there now, you should all be able to pinpoint the neighborhood riff raff. They are the ones that sit in the parking lot with radios blasted, beer bottles in hand, dogs roaming freely, children playing in the parking lot and buildings, loud voices, and 30-day paper tags or expired tags on their vehicles that lasts for years.
You will hear everything that's going on upstairs, next door, in the hallway, and outside while you're in the apartment.
I have seen and heard the office staff get exceptionally rude with residents.
Parking is beyond ridiculous after 6pm and when it snows. Depending on how bad it snows, the snow plows will pile at least 3 feet of snow in front of the vehicles. The neighborhood children will dig you out for about $20.
Our appliances (stove, refrigerator) were greenish/yellow.
