I honestly have no idea what the previous reviewers were talking about. This place is beautiful and very safe with all the police officers that live here as well. Where else are you going to find all of these amenities (beautiful pools with waterfall, fitness center, and clubhouse) right on the lake in such a family-oriented community' Rena in the office is wonderful! She's so helpful and always makes sure we're taken care of. Pedro is great too, though I don't see him as often as Rena. Trent is the new property manager and he's not as nice as the old one, Tess, but he's still cordial. It may depend on your building: We are in the elevator building on the very top floor and our unit is extremely quiet and is the largest one-bedroom with vaulted ceilings, fireplace, sun room, washer/dryer, and just got a brand new dishwasher. We have NO complaints and don't anticipate leaving! The only problem I have is when it snows, it takes the maintenance people longer than I would prefer to clean up the snow and ice, but other than that, it's great! :) mgFDbN4-dhkSMZ7zRmVH

I lived at Marymont over four years and we moved out this month (April). Due to the change in residents that permits a none peaceful and safe environment. Yes there are police officers living at Marymont but they are not community police nor do they wish to get involved. Because I have had to call the police several times on my neighbors. There has been break-ins and that is no fallacy. The apartments are nice but the people that are moving in makes the apartments undesirable There is no adherence to the pet policy small dogs are becoming huge dogs. Trash outside of doors, loud music and wild parties abound with little interfence from the new property manager Trent. There is more of a trend toward keeping all apartments rented instead of focusing on the quality of the people moving in. At least with Tess if there was a problem she addressed it, the new property manager just wants the apartments to stay rented with no concern for the quality. Plus we thought it was unfair to be paying a water bill every month that totaled 40 to 50 dollars when the water bill should be billed at two or three months not every month. That is a rip off. I believe the review was posted by Trent in an effort to raise the rating due to the negative post but the reviews are true about the parking, break-in's and the noise. |

That's a funny posting. Someone from the office wrote that. The police that live there don't do a thing. They aren't community police officers. Trent had to be the one to write this.

The police that live in the community do more than you know. They often patrol the complex off duty, in plain clothes and on their own time. When there were break-ins in the community (Laurel and Bowie, not just Marymont) they were here and did make arrests. It is not fair to blame the police who live here on the influx in crime from DC and Baltimore.
And if you witness a crime it is your civic responsibility to call 911 to report it.
