I had no problem with Marymont Apartments until recently. Within the past year or two there has been frequent turnover in management and maintenance personel. The assistant property manager (or whatever her title is), Wanda is one of the most unpleasant people I have ever had to deal with, and she has no customer service skills. She had the nerve to ask me why my boyfriend is here so often and told me that he needed to be on the lease. What'! Yes, aparently it bothers her that I have such a frequent guest. She possibly started her career out as a Resident Assistant of her dorm (if she went to college). Monitoring guests' Is that harassment' I pay my rent on time every month. That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of.

Then she tells blatant lies to evade accepting responsibility for things. We won't even get into the ridiculous story she told about why they would not enter an apartment above me that was a potential source of flooding that was happening in my apartment. Ok...maybe I will go into it a little. She told me that they couldn't enter the apartment (even there was a downpour coming out of my ceiling) and that I should be patient because the tenant was on her way. Supposedly, they pulled the lady out of a meeting, and she was battling rush hour traffic to make it home so that she could grant them access to her apartment. Aparently, this tenant does not like anyone entering her apartment without her being present. Understandable-- however my apartment was being flooded! I classify that as an emergency. Anyway, it turns out that she made up that ridiculous story because they didn't have a copy of the key! Last month, they chaged the locks to all the apartments so they would have copies of the keys. Shady happenings!

Oh yeah, there was a hole in my ceiling from a recurrent leak. Now the leak is fixed, but there has been a paint job ordered but still has not been completed. This process started the beginning of February and now it is almost the end of April. So you tell me if that is "express service." See the picture below.

I would not recommend this place to anyone now. It is sad, because it used to be simply beautiful and peaceful. Needless to say, I have had it with this place.

It is amazing how people complain about apartments in different locations yet if they are so unhappy why don't they go and buy their own place. Sounds to me like she was living there maybe because how cheap the rent is.
