I have only lived here at Riverview Apartments for less than one month and I was attracted to the garden apartments because others who lived here told me that they were quite content. Furthermore, I was rather pleased with the one review that was placed online that I thought I would give Rivervew a chance to judge for myself if I would experience the fine quality that others have encountered. It is my conviction that when one has chosen his career in a successful manner, it is more appropriate to buy a home or condominium as an investment as opposed to renting for years and years. One cannot acrue any equity with renting. Besides, it is better to retire with no mortgage than an exorbitant apartment rent that usually increases every year. My next move will be a purchase that I will not regret.

Here are the advantages of living at Riverview: It is quite affordable when compared to other apartment complexes. While we are responsible for the electric bill, they pay for and control the heat as well as the hot water. I also like the Main Street area as it is historic and generally an attractive, placid, neighborhood, unlike most in Laurel, with a police department within walking distance. The maintenance is excellent and respond in a timely manner here at Riverview. Laundry facilities are clean and one must have a key to enter. Hence, they are secure.There is also additional storage space for every resident in the laundry room. That is quite accommodating!





Here are some disadvantages: If you rent, I strongly advise you to select the third floor. I am on the second floor and can often hear the neighbor above me! I can hear a baby crying and kids running around as early as 7am and as late as 9:30pm. Sometimes, the entire apartment vibrates like a mini-earthquake! I have yet to approach the neighbors, however, management will not do anything regarding people running within their own apartment. Just an incentive for me that apartments are temporary and as aforementioned, I plan to buy something in the next year or two.





In summary, Riverview does have many nice attractions. The kitchens have been remodeled and there is ample closet space. My main complaint is the noise issue.
