I'd Almost Rather Be In The Old Barracks @ Walter Reed

I have been living in the Steward Manor community for almost 5 years now and can say this place is terrible. The walls and ceiling are so thin you can literally hear your neighbors footsteps in their apartment. They built a fence around the premises to give the illusion of safety considering access to the community in neither controlled nor monitored. Additional lighting is a must for the parking lot at night. Over the past few months and this past weekend, vehicles were and have been broken into, defaced, and stolen. There were even a few situations recently where vehicles were set on fire. When addressed by the effected residents the management team only posted a letter asking that all residents and their guests to be vigilant.* In one case, I witnessed an employee (--------) chuckle as a resident explained what happened to her vehicle. No security cameras, no additional lighting in the parking lot, not even a promise to look into the matter was given by the Resident Services team. Some of the personnel within Resident Services are people friendly and express concern for the resident's problems. Unless you like sarcasm, overall unpleasantness, and the essence of a confrontational attitude I suggest you stay AWAY from --------. I get the feeling that she believes that the complaints of the residents are trivial and should be pushed aside.
I feel almost as if a few of the people working in the leasing office have the same attitude as the soldiers who were in charge of the old Walter Reed barracks.
