If you are looking to move here listen to me. I have lived here for two years and if the rent wasn't so reasonable I would have been gone along time ago.

BAD
Here is the scoop, overall the building is not a bad place to live but there are some nasty people in this building. I have seen people leave garbage anywhere they please, and they treat the hallways like it is a trash receptacle. There is a trash bin in front of the building and people put trash anywhere they please, forget that it is full they will leave it on the floor. The trash receptacle in the main lobby needs to go, people leave anything they want there. Oh, there are roaches here...and the trash left by people does not help. The building has gotten better with new management but there is still aways to go. THERE NEEDS TO BE ASSIGNED PARKING. PARKING IS A NIGHTMARE. I almost hate to say this but if you get rid of the GHETTTO people that are living in the building, change the carpets in the hallways, fix the elevators you wouldn't mind living here.

GOOD
Rent is reasonable.
Maintenance is good at responding to complaints.
Office staff is pleasant.

Manager's Response

Only getting better.
As the resident manager, I have worked very dilligently to help out in these areas.
Parking is now sticker enforced. Residents have the privilege to park with towing enforcement of those who don't.
roaches in a multi'family community will always be a battle no matter where you live, but...
As a resident myself, I don't have bugs and I can't stand them! for those who appear to have a problem, I have implemented a weekly treatment program that really seems to be working wonders. the hallways are no longer a littering point because I have run off most of the residents who did not take pride in their community. On-Site Security officers at night seem to play a big part in this.
We are upgrading the hallway carpets soon and the elevator rehabilitation is nearing completion.
As I said before...ONLY GETTING BETTER!

i agree...i dont live there but my boyfriend does and i never would. The building has roaches, which is disgusting, but with new managent i've seen less. The elevators are always broke, its dirty, appliances are old, bathrooms have no ventilation, the hall ways need to be redone hmmm what else... oh yeah they don't have security and when they did i always saw him sleeping in his car. As of now there is a police car always parked out front of the building (with no police man in it). The walls are thin, you can here anything. It like they are trying to make it a classier place but its not working I think rent is expensive there. A 2 bedroom is 12 or 1300 which i guess isn't bad, but there is no gym, no pool, no nothing to make up for it. In my city (baltimore) i have rented a really nice 2 bedroom apt. for $890 and there was a pool, good parking, and a 24hr gym. Also, no roaches and 1 washer and dryer per floor (1 floor= 4 apts.) By the way steward towers has 15 floors with about 13-15 apts. in each floor and only about 10 washers and 10 dryers in the basement for the whole building. i guess under the new management things could change for the better... atleast i hope so the people who live there can get there moneys worth
