Ghetto ghetto ghetto From: hatetheseasons Date posted: 8/12/2004 Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2004   I moved into this community when I was a college student, I assumed that it was a nice Howard County community without the high prices of living in Columbia. I was wrong on both counts. The prices are really high, especially when you consider the fact that you are living in LAUREL. You have to call maintenance 3 times before they put your work order in and get it done. The maintenance guys are shady and will hit on you in your apartment. The office staff is nice enough, but it's just a front. Nothing gets done, all they are capable of is giving you a smile and acting like they care. Also, the safety of this community is sketchy at best. The lights on the side of my building have been out for 6 months, despite numerous complaints. There are cars stolen on a regular basis (you'll notice that a lot of riff-raff lives across the street at Canterbury Riding). There are a lot of loitering drug/thug types, and even the pizza men aren't safe from the occasionally robbery. Save yourself, move down the street to Bowling Brook instead.
