Satisfactorily pleased

I moved in 2 weeks ago after leaving a 3 bedroom house in another state. I had high expectations. So far, I agree with the others that the 24 hour maintenance policy isn't 24 hours. It took 8 days for them to come to my door and fix my issues.
I did have one issue with the staff but wrote my concerns in my move-in survey and the general manager called me personally and offered an apology and provided some compensation for the error.
Also, I guess since it's summer the kids are out of school and seem to spend all of their time playing pool in the clubhouse. A little annoying walking around them to get to the gym every day. But I guess these are the compromises of living in an apartment and not a house.
I live on the first floor so I don't have a trash chute to deal with, I just take my trash to the garage. I do hear some noise from the tenant above me but I'm not sure what you can do to tell him not to walk so loud. Also, since I live on the first floor, I simply walk out to the garage door to meet my guests.
Regarding the parking, they told me that I could pay $50 for a reserved space near the door. I chose not to pay for a reserved space and still get parking very close to the door.
Overall, I think I am getting my money's worth and I feel very secure.
