Not Everything Divulged before Lease is Signed

I signed the lease, moved in, and was given the key to my apt. mail-box. The next day I tried to check to see if any mail had arrived. The key didn't work. I was THEN told to take my lease to the P.O. and get a new key (1 to 2 week wait, and I'm understanding it will cost me about $10.00). None of this was divulged to me before I signed the lease, or even when I complained that the mail-box key didn't work.
