Problem after Problem

I agree with the post about the AC. I have lived at the Greens since last Oct. and during the winter complained to the office staff that I didn't feel my Heat was working. It was always freezing and had an electric bill of almost $200 a month. (I always turn out all the lights, and had nothing running but the heat) Now that it is summer, my apartment is always hot. I keep my AC set on 65 so you would think that it would be cool. (Once again keep all blinds closed, all windows closed, and no lights on) I have complained once again to the maintenance however nothing has been done. With the recent letter about "so many maintenance request" I am sure that my AC problem won't be taken care of anytime soon. My neighbor told me she over heard that they don't even have anybody certified to work on the AC's. Many of my neighbors are moving out and I can't blame them. Out of 4 apartments on my side of the building, 2 are moving out and me and the other person are looking to move REAL soon. I also agree with the problem about sound and smell. I have complained my apartment smells like cat litter when you are in the pantry/laundry room. I don't have a cat, and the smell will knock you out! So there is my answer, don't count on being cool this summer. I can't wait until my lease is up in Oct. If service continues this bad, I might just have to break my lease. Can't wait till the new apartments open across the street cause I will probably be moving there.

You must've had our apartment because we experienced the same problems you're going through now. Our heat bill was as high as $200 one month and it was always cold in our apartment in the winter. Then the apartment would be really hot in the summer regardless of how often the AC was cranking. We complained to the management at the time, and sure enough our requests went unresolved. I definitely wouldn't recommend anyone renting at The Greens, and I truly feel sorry for your unfortunate situation.
