Moving Out and this is why.

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2005
I have been living in the Greens for about 1 1/2 years, however my boyfriend has
been on the property for approx. 2 1/2 years. Up until May of 2005 (when management was changed) we were both
extremly happy at The Greens, all of our maintenance request were taken care of
in a timely fashion (which I feel is within 48-72 hours depending on the
severity-we aren't the only tenants in the complex). With the new management I have had a request in for my brand new dryer to be looked at for approx. 3-4 weeks, as the management has stated in letters that they placed on our door they did get to it in about 48 hours, however, all they did was pull it about 3 feet away from the wall and have not been back to follow up, despite
constant reminders. I do not blame this on the maintenance personel on the property,
I do blame this on the management since that is who the request have been made through! Furthermore, the property is becoming unsafe to live on, the dumpsters are constantley overflowing with trash, and have a horrable stinch to them, the asphalt is cracked or even has huge pot holes in it that the management just keeps filling with loose dirt and in a building very near mine there has been activity where the police have been called several times. When I say several times I mean at least three - four times a week. I feel that the Management is not the quality that this property needs in a time when there are several other apartment complexes going up in the area, with better rates for new apartments. Dispite all of the things mentioned we were going to stick it out on the property until our house was ready, we had renewed our lease until February 2006, however we received a letter on our door stating that it expired in August 2005 and that our rates would be going up. After speaking to management they advised that they have no record that we had renewed our lease for additional time. However, after giving our thirty day notice that we would be vacating we recieved another letter from office personel with general move out information and enclosed was a summary that appears to be something that they provide to every tenant during move out - except ours clearly states our Lease Ends on Jan 31, 2006. I feel that this shows lack ofquality the management has and the headaches that you too will have to deal with. The only perk that I give this property, are
the clean pools, and the friendly, trained life guards that are at the pools seven days a week.
