Chose this place because it was the cheapest at the time- BAD MOVE

Apparently some people have been happy here. Not sure how. Maybe if you become friends with the staff you can get more done. I never managed to get any maintenance done. If they came to fix a problem, they didn't leave a note indicating they had been there and what they had done. Come spring, I had cockroaches all over the floor, spiders crawling up the bathtub drains, and could hear every movement from even the quietest neighbors upstairs from anywhere in the apartment. A/C never worked properly. Electric bill was $200 /month. Management changed in the middle, so the mistakes they made when I moved in (not writing down what was broken/missing), I paid for in the end. I lost all of my security deposit because when I rented a steam vac, I apparently didn't do a good enough job and they charged me $150. Half of the lights on the grounds were burnt out and never fixed. The light pole near my building was leaning at a 45 degree angle for the whole year I lived there. It was the cheapest at the time, and relatively spacious for the money. About $1/sqft. But it's SO not worth it. Can't reasonably live there unless you like your home 80 degrees in the summer and 65 degrees in the winter. I could actually see daylight through the opening around my closed front door. Had them come try to fix it twice. The first time they made it worse, and the second time put it back where it started. I decided it was a waste of time and energy to pursue any farther. Same thing with the window screens the weren't seated properly, allowing bugs to crawl in if I opened the windows. The way they put them in, they can't do it without bending them like that. Last time I tried to get that fixed, they put tape over the cracks to seal them. The Greens is Not Worth the Trouble. Also, kids played football in the parking lots, denting everyone's cars and management never did anything about it when they were reported. Some residents had a habit of double parking, leaving no spaces for the rest of us. Leaves and snow were never cleared from the steps. Hazardous! Office staff had a habit of saying what you wanted to hear, but never actually doing anything.
