I rented here for a month and half and (thankfully) was moved by my company to Alabama.
After two months of complete vacancy I got a call that they were replacing the carpet and they were sending my bill to the collection agency! They say that it was pet damages, but what it really was was water that poured through the ceiling from the apartment above and they never bothered to really fix the problem(Their fix was telling the tenant above me to not use that shower).
Aside from that my electric bill was over $400 for less than a month! When I asked them about this, they just shrugged me off.
Additionally, the parking is horrible, the grounds are unkempt, the maintenance crew is unprofessional, the building quality is awful, the other tenants are pretty crappy, the crime rate is high, there are dog droppings all over the place, the "exercise room" is a complete joke, I could go on and on and on...
Oh, another biggie: The management is so bad there that Metrocast actually pulled their lines out of that area so they don't have to deal with them any more. All you can get for cable is Mosaic which is a small little company that The Greens has contracted and only provides the most basic features at a very high price(mine only worked 50-60% of the time). If you want DSL you're stuck with the lowest speed AND you have to pay extra because the wiring in the buildings are so old. You can't get satellite because they randomly take them down(as per horror stories of the Dish Network guy).
Really, really, really do not rent from The Greens at Hilton Run!

You are sooo right and it only took you a few months to realize it that is so bad!! There is something so wrong with the electric bills in that place. When I lived there my average electric bill was about $250 a month for a freakin 2 bedroom apt and it did not matter how much you tried to cut down, the bill was always high. Some of my friends had electric bills anywhere from $300 to $600 dollars a month which is insane and they do nothing about it!! I can't get over how this is allowed to go on, at least some of them are looking into legal action and have military behind them maybe something will be investigated and get done. I moved across the street to Abberly Crest and it is freakin like heaven compared to the ---- hole at hilton run!!!
