Terrible!

I posted this review on another site, but I wanted to make sure everyone read this before renting from the Greens. I paid my rent at the beginning of the month but then on the 17th I got a notice that I had not paid my bill and they were going to file a claim in court on the 13th. Notice I said that I got the message on the 17th, four days AFTER they were going to take me to court. I went to the office and showed them that the check had cleared in my account. They acknowledged that the check had cleared but that they forgot to post it on my account therefore I still owed the money. After much deliberation they agreed with me that they couldn't charge me twice. They then said, (I am not making this up) "We'll just check to make sure that you paid enough." They then recalculated my rent after it had already been paid and then decided to charge me $40 more than they had originally told me. When I informed them that they can't do that they told me that yes they had made a mistake in calculation but that I still owed the money. What is so tragic about this story is that this was the second time that they have done this to me. I paid my rent on time and they reported me to the credit bureau AND small claims court. Even after I proved that I had paid they still want to hassle me. I also never felt safe here, the appliances never worked, the maintenance staff came into the apartment sometimes without warning, and they charged me $400 upon moving out for damages that were there when I moved in. When I tried to talk to the staff about these issues they just blew me off. DO NOT MOVE INTO THE GREENS!! That place is terrible.
