Beware!!! Be careful!
I don t know where to begin! I was a long time resident of 35 years at Lynn Hill. When I received the usual Your lease expires on April 1st , Maryland Management was NOT renewing my lease! I called -- and asked if this was a mistake. It was not. They would not give a reason. I pleaded, begged and cried. They still would not comply. I called the rental office. The resident manager didn t even know of this situation. The copy of the letter wasn t even in my file. She was baffled. ------ also contacted the main office and they would not give her a reason.
After going to all sort of legal agencies, TV stations, my congressman. I was informed that there is no law in the State of Maryland stating that any property management company has to give a reason why they are not renewing a lease. I then went to -- s home office in Hanover, Maryland, in person. And begged again to please help me that I was not in a financial situation to move. They did not care. I wanted to speak to the Property Manager, and was told that they do not meet with their co--unities residents.
My home was model perfect. My rent was on time every month. My neighbors had no complaints about me. My apartment was shown to the property investors as a model for their yearly inspection. And after all this, they still would not give me a reason why or would not renew my lease. When I went apartment hunting, I found out that I was not allowed to rent from any Maryland Management Properties!
The rental office was great and so was the maintenance crew. When ------ was on ----------leave, I even offered my office experiences to help in her absence. ------was always good. I felt as though we were all like a little family! And then this! I do not fault them at all. It is Maryland Management at their best .
I loved my home, I grew up there, and it was all I knew. Here I am 58 years old having to uproot my life and start all over. It was a very hard and depressing experience. Something I would hate to see anyone go through.
If they can do this to a dedicated, an upstanding resident of 35 years, what would they do to someone after 1 year' So please do not rent from any Maryland Management Properties. Think twice. These people are cold-heartless people!

You are absolutely, positively correct in your feelings. Except for the fact of the staff. When push comes to shove they will do what they need to to keep their job. They may tell you exactly what you want to hear, that they are helping you, be careful. I believe you were treated unfairly and I believe not all angles were looked at from Maryland Managements side. It seems they can do whatever they wish, whenever they wish regardless of the consequences of those involved. Especially if it benefits them. My hat off to you. You've been through a lot and probably still doing so. I ope it will get better for you.

Well, I lived with them for one year and my experience was just as horrible as the first complaint we are responding too. I had water damage in my vent in the living room. It was right by the sliding glass door and when I reported it I was told that they werent able to do anything about it at the time they would have to get back me when their outside contractor got the piece needed for repair. Basically a whole year went by and nothing was done. It took for a young lady who worked in the office to have to give me the information of the ceo of maryland management and for me to email him for me to get a response. The response I got was poor. Nobody ever contacted me however, they came with the property manager and just viewed what was already known by the property manager (who was eventually fired-I think it was sharon hobbs). When they finally did come to fix the water damage that had now gone from my living room to my bedroom, they had to tear a whole in my wall. Instead of them making it a living situation they permitted for my room to have an open whole in the wall with exposed pipes which harbored nats that flew around the open pipes and thus all over the apartment. To top it off since I was getting such poor service I decided not to pay rent that last month (mind you it took for the last month for them to start) and now I"m stuck with paying Maryland Management back monthly payments for not paying my rent WHEN THEY WERE THE ONES NEGLIGENT. I WILL NEVER EVEN LOOK MARYLAND MANAGEMENTS WAY AND AS SAID ABOVE THEY ARE COLD AND HEARTLESS PEOPLE. From the looks of it firing the property manager and hiring a new one as well as new staff was just a horrible as what they had before. ----, was fired and she was the one who gave me the information to get fire up under their as*es. She was the best.....what a waste of her time as well as mine. $850 for just convenience of being close to basically everything you could want is cool, but you gotta offer much more service than just location. As a Marriott Manager I KNOW SERVICE AND THIS WASNT IT. AND AS I SAID SEEMS THAT ITS STILL NOT IT. MARYLAND MANAGEMENT SUCKS!!!!!!!
