Generally speaking, the maintenance has a poor response time. The unit is outdated and aging, and is falling apart. Most of the unit has been jerry-rigged. Our move-in was a nightmare. It was moving day and they hadn't even bothered to put in carpet. Our bathroom was LITERALLY falling apart. It leaked into the people below us, the bathroom fixtures were all broken, and some genius decided to put two bathtub handles together to try to cover a gaping hole. We had grease and mold caked in both the bathroom and the kitchen when we moved in, and a gas leak. When we finally started to get some of the major problems fixed, they screwed up MORE things, like the hole in my room they "fixed", and covered up with a different color of paint! So I have a huge spot of bright white on top of off-white, which is BEAUTIFUL- note the sarcasm. Not only that, but above one of the electrical sockets, is a piece of masking tape covering a hole--- AND PAINTED OVER! The office staff is pretty unhelpful, with the exception of Lisa, I believe her name is. I've found her the most helpful thus far. At least the most tolerable, anyway. Basically all of our kitchen cabinets are chipping away and falling off the hinges, the washer and dryer are SO old, and are literally crooked inside of the laundry closet. (Yet another jerry-rig.) All of the closet doors are falling off and do not open or close properly. Our bedroom doors do not close properly. Everything is breaking, including the freezer and the dishwasher, because the appliances are out of date. Our windows and front door constantly make us lose our heat or coolness, there is no weather protection whatsoever. We have been here since Oct 07 and it is now March 08. We have no plans to renew our lease when the year term is up. They have lost good tennants because of their inability to keep up on their buildings. The unit they showed us which was by the rental office was beautiful, ours- not so much. It would be in Millpond's best interest to begin a complete overhaul of each unit by replacing appliances and cabinets. Hiring experienced maintenance with the motivation to complete tasks, and who can actually understand english would be a good move as well. And for anyone wondering, thus far, we have not had a problem with bugs. However, we are on the 4th floor so that could be the reason'

You know they showed us a apartment by the rental office too that was beautiful. And i was so excited to finally move into a "nice" place. Then we get the keys to our apartment and I broke down because it was NOT what they had showed us. I was left with no choice to move into a crappy apartment because we had to be out of our old place in a week. Very misleading if you ask me.
