Mill Pond is Hell on Earth!

Where to begin' From even before day 1, renting here has been a disaster.
It began with our promised apartment not being remotely ready to move into on the day it was promised. Broken windows, wet paint, broken appliances were all initial problems. We were offered a different apartment for the same price luckily (or unluckily) or we wouldn't have been here for the amount of pain we have suffered.
Other tenants are LOUD at all hours of the day AND night, banging up and down the steps with disregard. Many smoke cigarettes or weed in the central staircases which then lofts into your apartment as well. The smell of neighbors cooking and other random foul odors somehow find their way into your apartment courtesy of the poor air ventilation systems or by just leaking upwards through the walls.
The appliances are constantly breaking and several are decades old and will be refused to be replaced by the management. The faucets (all of them) leak as well as the bathtub faucet and the toilet. Large cracks run through the apartment as if the entire building is slowly shifting or falling apart (or possibly over). One of the buildings recently had a fire and the entire roof was only repaired, not replaced. Doors have had locks replaced so many times the screw threads are stripped and will easily fall out if jostled. The doors are not remotely air-tight and will leak air year round - windows are the same. Expect MUCH more on heating and cooling costs. Some doorways themselves are crooked - whoever originally built the building must not have owned a level.
People that live at this complex do not have any regard for your property. We have found our and others cars damaged and vandalized several times by peoples inability to drive or even park. The parking arrangement in several areas is so bad that it is nearly impossible to get your car out in the morning due to others blocking you in because people park in fire lanes or not in properly marked spaces.
The management has gone through MANY changes, yet still remains poor. The management will not do anything to entice you to stay other than raising your rent after a year of poor service. They cannot manage their staff on proper etiquette of dealing with tenants and are only concerned with selling the next sucker a poorly maintained apartment that comes looking for a cheap place to live.
The water and power are centralized through each building so if one apartment needs maintenance that requires one or both of these to be shut off, the entire building loses it - for an unknown amount of time with little or NO warning. The maintenance staff zips around on golf carts parking in tenant spaces or blocking peoples cars in while they repair something in an apartment for an unknown amount of time. Actually getting a tech to respond may take days unless it is an "emergency" and even then you can only leave a message and hope they get back to you.
The grounds are constantly dirty with trash and debris, light poles are broken or with bare wires showing at body height, and light fixtures in central stairwells are often broken or so filled with bugs that the bulb has exploded inside them. Entire stairwells are so littered with dead bugs, cobwebs, dead leaves (FROM LAST FALL IN THE SUMMER), and debris, it is disgusting to even look around when you walk up them.
The parking lots are constantly filled with trash (only 1 dumpster per 8 apartment buildings down from 2) and that trash is piled up around the dumpster since they are usually full. People deposit couches and mattresses and other large junk items around the dumpster area hoping for the trash collectors to take it away (which often they do not).
All-in-all, this apartment complex is god awful. Do not move here if you value your personal property such as your vehicle or packages that you have mailed to you.
