Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009

I moved in the latter half of 2008 and rented an apartment sandwiched among 3 other neighbors; no one lives beneath me. Be very selective in selecting the Superior 1 Bedroom Floor Plan since your bedroom and bathroom with some of the models will be attached to your neighbor's livingroom and kitchen especially if you accept an apartment in the middle of other apartments. This information is for people who have low tolerance for extremely loud noise levels and all neighbors have different mentalities. I have a neighbor who has resided on the property for a very long time and when this person is in the kitchen, all you hear is slamming cabinets and drawers with dropping objects all over the counter tops consistently. So extremely loud that you will be awaken by this person ignorant behavior. Yes, i brought this to the persons attention verbially, letter and the consistent complaining in writing to the property manager that a door was closed in my face and the person went to the leasing office complaining about me. We both met with the current property manager and nothing has changed in this situation. In May of this year, a young neighbor moved in the empty apartment above me and likes to entertain until the wee hours of the morning, forever dragging and dropping objects on the floor consistently and others running rapid in the apartment when she's not home. Needless to say, i brought this behavior to the persons attention and was met with a elementary attitude. Yes, didn't understand that she was responsible for her guests behavior and didn't understand why she received a telephone call from the leasing office concerning her disturbing noise level. I allowed the person to read my leasing agreement. It still continues. Neigher person is neighborly in any manner. Now, the other person that moved out on the other side of me, loved listening to music loudly bumping and thumping on the walls and bumping and thumping along the sidewalk and one part of the parking area. I brought this to the persons attention and there was no problem and the loud music was taken out of my apartment immediately and never returned. I do not think this type of ignorant and inconsiderate behavior is being displayed in the entire building. I absolutely didn't feel like packing up and moving out and learning a lesson here then. I have now requested in writing to the leasing office to move out, but i had already signed, completed and my renewal was approved for another year. A offer was made for another apartment in the building elsewhere with an increase in rent, but no strain to my pocket. The leasing office offered another apartment opposed to submitting noise control letters to these two ignorant elementary by law adults instead of having these darn fools abide by the leasing agreement policy concerning noise disturbance. We have people in this world who simply don't understand simple phone calls, but light bulbs pop on when documents are received in black and white. We all know what the bottom line is, to keep the building filled with tenants/residents paying DOLBEN'S mortgage. All is not bad here, but there do exist unneighborly, ignorant, uneducated residents etc.

I agree with you. Living in any apartment, you are taking a chance. I live in the same building however my neighbors are pretty good. If you are paying rent, then you have a right to quiet and peace in your home.
If I were you, I would contact the company, Dolben regarding your issue. Sometimes it takes the company to come down on the leasing office before action takes place.

Hi There,
The complex is a highrise, but how comfortable you'll be living on the complex grounds will be based on your tolerance for noise and your joining neighbors. If you have any problems in this area, i would contact my neighbors first as i did, but i was faced with elementary and mummified comprehension. If you can't resolve it neighborly, place your noise complaint letter with the leasing office here. I moved into the penthouse area with high ceilings and concrete flooring, but i do have one next door neighbor since i'm on the ending of a hall and next to the stairwell. My rent increased by $60 and my next door neighbor is very neighborly (she made the introduction as she saw me moving in) and now i sleep when i want to and feel very peaceful. I think i will stay another year or two now. I hope this helps in some way.

I am considering moving in to this apartment complex. Do you recommend a particular building? I am moving from where I live because of the loud noise, etc... and it seems that this apartment complex has the highest rating I have seen so far on this site...
