Cockroaches, crime, and crappy management!

Mt. Rainier and the surrounding area is getting an upgrade, there is a brand new Circuit City and Staples at the Prince George's Mall and even a very very Nice movie theater. But that wasn't enough to make us stay here! The cockroaches were a constant problem. The mold was unbelievable. And management said they would fix those problems and yet nothing ever got fixed. If you are a couple days late on rent, they initiate eviction proceedings almost immediately. Worst of all - it is a high crime area and there have been repeated shootings across the street and down the block.
If you are looking for convenience, then here it is. It really is close to DC - literally right on the line. The metro is about a 10-15 minute walk or by bus two minutes. There are two supermarkets right across the street. A Checkers for fast food and a Subways. Joe's Carryout is great. There's even a car repair place and an AutoStore right down the street.
The apartments are fairly spacious. You won't have enough closets, but that is to be expected. We had a huge problem with out electricity bills because they neglected to put up insulation so we got screwed on hundreds of dollars.
