Ok...now I have read some of the other reviews on this site, and I wonder if these people are living in the same community I am'' What apartment complex have you seen that does NOT have its problems' Am I saying Fountain Club is perfect' No. However, what I am saying is that they do a far superior job than any other apartment complex that sits on Riverdale Rd. (and by my count there is about 5 or 6 other apartments and 1 is a Southern Management property). Let's break it down piece by piece.
Apartments - The apartments here are quite spacious if you live in the mid rise building (which also includes free utilities), but can be a little cramped if living in the garden style apartments. However if you stay on the 3rd floor in the garden style, the cathedral ceilings make up for some of the space you loose. The apartments are very clean and very well kept. There are rarely any problems with the heating/ac or anything electrical for that matter and the plumbing is adequate. Now, another difference with living in the garden style is that if you live under someone, and they do not have carpet, you will swear they are playing jump rope above you. Meaning, people are supposed to carpet most of their apartment (which most do) however sometimes people do not.
Maintenance - Now...this is where Fountain Club really shines. I have not known ONE person in my community who has had a complaint about maintenance. They are all friendly and have no qualms about helping you whenever they can. Personally I have seen some maintenance staff cut away form their own personal tasks on their own time, to help a resident in need. You cannot find that type of customer service these days. If you have a problem, and you call it in to the office (which is very important, some people tend to think Ms. Cleo is the property manager and that staff is psychic and is supposed to automatically know what's wrong) then the maintenance staff will usually have it done within 24 hours. However, pending on the size of the problem, that is not always the case.
Staff- Now I have been here 5 years and I have seen staff come and seen staff go (i.e. recently) but the core staff seems to remain the same and they have been helpful to me and my family since the day I stepped foot on this property. They always seem to have a positive demeanor and willing to work with individuals to solve any problems or inquiries they may have. I would like to see better upkeep of the fountains however...but I guess that is a small gripe for all that the staff does.
Overall, Fountain Club is an excellent community. Does it have its minor problems...yes. But these are all things that are fixable. The residents here for the most part are very friendly and personable. Especially if you stay in the midrise, you tend to get to know the people in the building and vice versa, which makes for an even safer environment. I would love to see the community come together more often and take pride on where we live. Especially since I have seen most of the residents since I moved in, which means they have been here for some time. So for all the good things...I say thank you. For things that need to be improved...I say keep trying to make things better...you residents are counting on you!
