Compared to other apartment complexes in PG County,MD, I feel Fountain and most Southern Management apartment complexes do a good job. The Staff is always courteous at Fountain Club. The only time you would get a frown from anyone is when you don't pay your rent on time.
Responding to someone's comments,an apartment cannot be roach infested when empty. You, my dear brought the roaches with you from where ever you moved. My apartment has been ideal since moving in September 2005 and I have revelled in the timely response of the oncall maintainance staff for any needs. The environment is always clean and jealously well kempt. I have had one problem with the apartment complex, Fountain Club and that was on call maintainance not responding because someone forgot to relay the message and for that, I got a deduction in rent for that month. I didn't even ask...This is service.
They gladly accept your application with a smile and gladly take your complaints with a smile and strive to make sure that this place remains suitable and relatively better than all the other complexes in Riverdale, New Carrolton area.
Get it right, if you paid your rent on time, no one would hassle you and maintainance would always be available to you because it is within your rights. If you noticed roaches in your apartment three days after moving in, did you notify maintainance' And how many attempts were made to erradicate the roaches you brought from some other "ghetto" place you were at' That is if at all you wanted the roaches gone since you have lived with them for quite a while.
Clean up your cabinets, clean your apartment well and keep your closets clean... in fact, all the compartments and storage areas of your house should be kept at a maximum clean so that roaches have no where or nothing to feast on.
The problem is not the apartment complex...think again!

Greetings Kangly, how are you? I am writing in response to your comment regarding the roaches. I am a current resident of Hampshire Village apartments. Before I moved to this complex, I lived in a beautiful townehome in Largo, MD with my parents (I'm only 21). While I lived there, I never saw any pests other than the occassional visit of ants in the spring. In fact, it wasn't until I moved to Hampshire Village when I saw a roach in person. The first day that I moved in (before I brought in my belongings) I spotted numerous roaches in the kitchen area. With that being said, just because the apartment is vacant doesn't necessarily mean that when the individual moves in, THEY'RE bringing pests with them. Roach eggs can still be embedded in various cracks and holes throughout the apartment. Also, pests can find their way into a particular unit from the next door neighbor's apartment. In the future, it would be wise to critically think about an issue before you rebuttle the statement.

I'm just responsing to the comments made. Management is never going to tell you that any unit has roaches, bedbugs or any unwanted, non paying pest. But will gladly accept the rent each and every month.
