Doesn't seem to be what I've heard

Although I have yet to move in, I think the staff at Heritage Square is wonderful with my favorite employee in the office, being Quianna the leasing agent. I lived in the complex I was at before for 12 years and I must say that Heritage Square is definetly a step-up and not down. The split level apartments are gorgeous for apartments and give you a feeling of being in a house and not an apartment. I must admit just being in the area for over this many years, complexes, especially this one, are what you make of them. It doesn't just take the rental office staff to make the neighborhood what it is, but the community to care to. Tenants need to remember that roaches aren't usually the problem of the complex, but a problem of the people that live in the building. If you keep your home clean and exterminate yourself that cuts down on the roaches in your home. As far as the neighborhood and complaints I've read or heard about, the appearance or loitering, I made it a point to ride into the complex in the day and in the night and saw no problem with it and the neighborhood seemed normal and clean with all my drive-bys. I'm genuinely looking forward to my move into Heritage Square.

I disagree with your response on exterminations and being clean. When you live b/w floors and you are clean, you still can have roaches. If other people in your bldg aren't clean, the roaches will travel to your apartment no matter how clean you are. I am a current resident and I must say, I am not pleased. I constantly clean and still see roaches walking around the apt as if they pay rent to live there. This is what happens when the other tenants are not clean, the bldgs are old and when the exterminators aren't using a strong enough pest control product. However, if you feel as though you can take on the roaches, be my guest. Perhaps the other bldgs aren't as bad as the one I currently rent. I love the neighborhood b/c everything is right at your fingertips (down the road there is Target and Walmart). However, think about the cost of money you will pay to rent an apt where you have unwelcomed visitors (roaches) and decide if it is really worth it. I was NEVER accustomed to roaches and don't want to be, but when there seems to be an infestation of some sort, that's a problem for me. |

I would also like to say that I had two apartments in this complex. One was a split level near the front. Please realize that the apartments near the front are much more well maintained. When you get to the back of the complex, it's a different story! I've had apartments in both areas. Also, I totally agree about the roaches. We keep our home neat as a pin. We used the roach motels, the spray, and boric acid. Nothing keeps them away if your neighbors are dirty. Heritage Square does NOTHING about alerting people to keep their apts clean. NOTHING! You are on your own if you have a roach problem. And if you live in this complex, you WILL have a roach problem. Believe me. |
