I just received my letter from the rental office indicating what my rent will be if I don't sign another 12 month lease. It's absolutely crazy. My apartment is a nice size, however, Managment doesn't put any money back into the property. My kitchen is the pits, can't understand how it ever passed an inspection. The cabinets are uneven, not touching the ceiling on one end, they threw in a dishwasher, small washing machine that you have to attach to the kitchen facuet and you can just tell one day the owner must have said "hey" lets cut the cabinets out and put in a dishwasher, washer and dryer. The stove is just the pits. Every thing leaks. Took maintenance 3 months to fix leaking air condition unit, mold was on the floor, just discusting. The bathroom sink and tub facuets leak and also the kitchen sink disposal and facuet leaks. I'm moving as soon as I can. The area is quiet, even though some did get killed on the playing ground across the street. Once I'm in, I try not to leave out. I always have my pepper spray in the "on" position when I leave out to go to work. So I guess that says a lot right there. These apartments are not worth what they want, believe me.

I lived there for 7 years due to circumstance beyone my control. During the 7 years, I had over 15 leaks starting from the bathroom, kitchen and then the air conditioning unit. Year 2002, the kitchen cabinets actually fell off the wall due to the moisture of the apartment which is a basement level unit. About 5 months later, a water pipe burst from the next door storage unit while I was showering. The most disgusting part of it was that Management still expected timely monthly payments and increased my rent. The apartments are very comfortable in size, but the money is not worth it. If I'm going to pay the requested amount, which is not cheap, then Management should do a much better job. As a whole, Managemet need to put more money into the property for the working class adult.
