REGRET SIGNING ANOTHER YEAR'S LEASE....

My fiance and I have been living here going on 2 years and are looking forward to getting the heck out of here when our lease is up in July 2007. It is the eve of Christmas 2006 and my fiance is having to shop at Lowe's for materials to wrap around our bathroom and kitchen sink pipes because they've been leaking out of control. We have family that will be joining us for brunch and i'm stressed because i've put in numerous calls (6 to be exact) since the second week of November 2006 when this mess began. We had no water problems until the clueless, so-called maintenance crew turned off mine and several other buildings water (without notice too many times to count) for about 8 hours -- as I said they didn't even bother to tell us and this was after everybody and their families had gotten settled into their homes after a long day at work and/or school for the children. I've called maintenance several times and each time Vaughn (stupid ass) would say someone was on it, but when my fiance went down to talk with the manager (who is NEVER available yet you can always hear him and the female (rude ass women) in the back laughing about something rather than them doing their job), Vaughn said he couldn't be interupted because he was having a busy day. WHAT THE''!!! WHO ISN'T HAVING A BUSY DAY!!! When my fiance demanded that Vaughn give him the telephone number and name of the property manager, he was told that they are no longer in business. Again, WHAT THE''!! It was when a couple came into the office that Vaughn went from being sarcastic to being a little more helpful, which means they only put on performances when "perspective new tenants" enter the office. Well, my fiance still made his point and "deliberately" in front of the couple who hopefully turned and ran because my fiance suggested on the way out that they not consider this place for living because they would NOT get their monies worth. Also, managment is rude and plain STUPID, my fiance and i are very quiet people who go the distance giving people the benefit of the doubt, but my GOD, these people have made us soooooo mad and soooooo angry that we curse their asses out every time we try to have a reasonable conversation with them. They make people furious because of their attitude of "we're doing you a favor by letting you rent here." No, -------, if it weren't for us you wouldn't have a job THAT YOU NEVER DO and these buildings would be condemned, so stop getting high off of your own ----...just don't sniff the ---- and just maybe you'll regain brain-power. All we're asking for are the the services that SUTTON WALK PROMISES IN ITS LEASE TO THEIR TENANTS, that's all we're asking for. We didn't sign on for a sewer-smelling apartment and having to mop up and dry up toxic water every single day, sometimes twice or three if we're home because the so-called maintenance, non-plumbing team doesn't know how to return what was a non-leaking problem into a server, leaking problem. ALL OF MY NEIGHBOR'S ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM NOW WITH SOMETHING LEAKING IN THEIR APARTMENT AND IT WASN'T THAT WAY BEFORE NOVEMBER 2006 (2ND WK) WHEN THEIR CLUELESS SO-CALLED MAINTENANCE TEAM WENT INTO THE BASEMENTS OF SEVERAL BUILDINGS AND STARTED TAMPERING WITH THINGS THEY KNEW NOTHING ABOUT. And for the amount of money $1225 that they're taking from us, we can't understand why they won't hire real plumbers like ROTO-ROOTER OR ANOTHER SPECIALIST. Also, women beware because some of the so-called maintenance men live on the premises and they're always sitting around smoking (in buildings they do NOT reside in), leaving cigaret butts on the sidewalk (in front of building's they don't live in) and are always watching you as you get in and out of your car. One day i came out of my home with videocam in hand and began to videotape one of the guys and recorded some words and he told me to not be doing that and i told him that his ass is constantly being recorded out of my kitchen window and other neighbor's are recording his activity and if he doesn't like than he needs to stay on his side of the street. He called me a ----- and walked off, the wonderful thing is that i have both our conversations on video should we ever have to go to court. Y'all, i'm so upset because the so-called management does NOT care about their tenants, only MONEY, which they are getting a LOT of. My fiance said we should have followed the lead of those long term tenants who were either breaking their leases or moving out with the speed of "Flash-Gordon" (very quickly). We did talk with a few tenants who told us how nice it used to be but since then they've gone through 3 or 4 sets of management and staff and all of those black idiots are a disgrace to the decent black race, and i hate to put the race card down on the table but the truth is is that that black staff isn't used to anything nice, therefore they are unable to understand the demands of those of us who are used to having nice things (where we live, inside and out)and when we come to them they think we're asking for their arm, which needs to be removed any damn way since they only raise it to feed their damn mouths. Lastly, the month of November 2006, management had towed several cars, my fiance car being one, ur bathroom smells terrible and while my, to fill a pot-hole that has been there forever. Car alarms were going off like mad which is why we looked out our window, it was odd for so many to go off. Well, imagine our irritation, we were already dressed and rushed outside, my fiance had his pistol and i had the house bat ready to back my man up; that's right, somebody was about to get capped and clubbed because we knew we'd payed our car note for that month and we thought it strange that someone would be trying to rob us in the daylight, not that that isn't uncommon in the Sutton Walk and Lenox Court (my cousin and her husband lives there and will be leaving Sep. 2007 'cause they've had it too)complexes. Well, my fiance orders them to release his car and the white guy said he was told by managment to remove any and all cars from that particular location. My fiance told him he didn't give a you-know-what that if he didn't want a hole in his chest that he'd better release his you-know-what vehicle and that that was going to be the last time he told, that the next sound he was going to hear were capping sounds. I yelled "WHERE ARE THE FREAKIN' NOTICES'!" "THERE ARE NO NOTICES POSTED ANYWHERE IN THIS BUILDING!" Several other neighbor's were standing out there and i ask if they had notices in posted in their building and they all said NO! The nasty fat white man apologized and said that he had orders from the manager, he also told us that the reason why they had to do it that day was because they had somewhere else to be. We told him that wasn't our problem. Needless to say we were hotter than a restaurant oven. We went down to address the manager, and once again that damn Vaughn said he wasn't available. It wasn't until a week later that we met a neighbor who said how she complained but the manager suggested that she leave if she was so miserable and that she found it strange that she was the only one to complain. WHAT THE'!!! See, this is what we're talking about, when you've got ignorant managment you're bound to have ignorant staff and that's pathetic. When she told us that we knew it was time for us to just prepare to leave, which we have been doing, we've got a lot of boxes already packed. For those of you who don't know who to call, the name is Realty Management!!!! Let me end with this, people do try to give folks the benefit of the doubt, but you can't keep pushing people either. We are you tenants -- your money bags, and if you can't show us the respect that we deserve (there are some tenants that you do need to get rid of -- including your GHETTO EMPLOYEES), we willg o somewhere else and if you're not careful, we can and will run you out of business. Keep in mind that it wasn't too long ago that Jack Johnson wanted to tear this entire area down because what used to be the suburb's is now the GHETTO! Think about that mr or mrs Realty management -- REALITY CHECK IS WHAT YOU NEED! I sure hope they read these complaints because nobody seems to return phone calls or answer letters, but i guess when you don't care you just don't care and that's pathetic. My fiance will be moving to another apartment community but it's this experience with Sutton Walk/Realty Management apartments that we know to sign on for 1yr and if there are annnnnnny problems that are not immediately addressed, we will escape at the end of our lease. We will not nor do we deserve to be this agrivated by the so-called managment staff of where we live. Our abode should be the place we rush home to when we leave work, now it's just a place that we dred and would rather stay at work a little longer to avoid it. Well, my fiance is calling me, I have to go clean my bathroom, again, to make it pleasing for me and my man and presentable for my guest that will be arriving in 12hrs. One more thing before i go, just because people complain doesn't mean they are whining folks, it means that the same problem keeps occuring -- hasn't been fixed, and just because the SAME PERSON complains, it doesn't mean they're trouble-makers, it means other people are chicken -- too afraid to stand up for what they know is right, so they leave it to other's while they (non-complainers) reap the benefits of those who complained. I applaud those who complain because i too am a complainer, but know i video everrrrrrrrrrrrrything. Hope y'all have a Merry Christmas and a better New Year for those of us who are Sutton Walk and Lenox Court tenants. Man, i hope managment read this. For those of you who are reading this site, forward it along to everybody you know because I wasn't aware it existed until yesterday, so share with others because just maybe, just maybe, the landlord's are reading and just maybe, just maybe they will find it in their grinch-like heart to believe that their tenants are telling the truth about their trifling staff. Last time, Merry Christmas!!!

When you move, don't move to Woodland Landing in Lanham or Ashford at Coopers Croosing in Landover Hills either!!!

Baby you can move read your lease it clearly states that if you summit a written repair request it has to be fixed within 7 days. or you can break your lease and they have to refund your rent and deposit.
