PLEASE READ IN FULL: My husband and I signed a lease for the end of May 2007, but we actually didn't move anything in until mid-June. We are coming from Carriage Hill apts in Suitland, Md who is run by Southern Management and we never ever had any of the problems we are having now! We moved into a 2bd with a so called den at Sutton Walk. All of the appliances- washer, dryer, and dishwasher were all very old and not working properly. The washer ran only for two minutes and the dryer didn't dry and the dishwasher did not release the soap to wash the dishes. So it takes a whole day to do two small loads! There is definitely a roach problem. There were roaches before we even moved any of our things in. We constantly call to get on the list for the exterminator but no one ever comes. I constantly wipe my kitchen down with clorox, even if I didn't cook anything, but we would always see at the least one or two every morning in the kitchen and in the bathroom. The carpet was also old and stained in various places. They claimed they cleaned it, but we hired a company to clean it the company showed us how much dirt was actually in there! We took pictures of everything, but they still did not replace the carpet. The shelves in the cabinets are so weak that even our plastic dinner plates and cups were falling out the shelves! We can't put anything in there so everything has been sitting on our dinning room table since June! We gave them an "OOPs" list with all the things that were wrong with the apartment in the beginning of June- it is August now and they still have not done any repairs. We could not run the sink in the bathroom on high because the sink is clogged, the toilet is leaking around the base and now its not even flushing properly. Nothing has been done!! We have no screens for our balcony and bedroom window. The wood underneath our counters are not sanded, so we constantly get splinters. Maintenance never leaves a note and they never finish the work they start. Out of the least of our worries, they put tile in our foyer on Monday but still have not finished it! I would not recommend this property to anyone. ----- in the office is nice, and acts like he is trying to help, but always has an excuse for something, and the lady in there -I don't know her name- is just rude. She cuts you off when you are speaking to her and always jumps to the wrong conclusion! Maintenance always has an excuse for why something is done is is going wrong. I rarely see maintenance working around the property, but I always see them at the 711, Wendy's or Bojangle's down the street! Don't live here!
