I have never written any comments regarding any of the past apartment communities that I have lived in!! I can tolerate most things however, the service at this place is terrible. I moved in 3 months ago, taking over a lease agreement and right then everything went down hill. First, how did the community managers recieve their job. They had me sign the community policy and said that a lease would be drawn up within a week (this was about 3 months prior to my move in). Two weeks prior to my move in, they stated that I had already moved in (turns out that one of the lease consultants, had improperly taken the community policies that I had signed and put additional pages on top, to make it seem as if I had signed the lease. After that I was I spoke with each of the lease consultants and even the property manager and NO ONE could help me with my situation. Second, when i wanted to move in, i spoke with a lease agent to have my keys ready on that particular day. When i got there, no keys were available. I had my moving truck and I couldn't even get into my apartment. Third, when I moved in, the lease agents told us that the monthly rent would only increase by possibly 1-2% and that if we choose a month to month lease, it would not increase the rent by any more than 3% which is one of the reasons why we chose this place. Right now, my lease will be ending in 3 months or so, and it infuriates me to find out that not only are they increasingthe rent..but they will be increasing it by around $500!! AND they are charging each indivdual for a parking spot!! Who charges for a parking spot in Grosvenor. There should be ample parking since this is the suburbs, not the heart of Washington DC. For all the amenities that this place boosts, it is not worth it because the amenities suck!!! The mailboxes are all the way on the other side of the apartment buildlings and they are outside!! You have to drive to throw out your trash!! And most of all the lease agents have no idea what they are talking about. You can speak with three different people and get three different answers. If you don't have it on paper then don't believe it.

I will never live at another Avalon community ever again and I hope that this review will stop others from living here as well!!! AD2Hw9Wn8Umb3NN1w1jt
