This community had almost everything, including a great location (2 min walking distance from the Grosvenor Metro station) and nice floor plans. But poor construction quality, together with an almost complete absence of maintenance already start to show after 4 years. Management is the worst thing ever, and does not have a clue about how to make tenants happy, other than by posting memos to explain that if there are frequent robberies in the parking lots, tenants are to blame, and than by increasing rent by more than 7% every year, even in 2008 when there is a clear downturn in the market. I'll be moving in a month to the very nice "Jefferson at Inigo" that has just opened across the street, where I'll be getting a slightly bigger, brand new apartment for $200 per month...and with 2 months free!
A piece of advice: if you consider Avalon, just go directly at Jefferson!
