Flat Screen TV in the lease office does NOT mean luxury living

Where do I start.
We got towed twice, because the yellow parking tag fell off the rearview mirror. The tow truck operator even admitted he can sort of remember which cars belong there, but he tows anyway if he can't see the yellow tag. So, um, why am I paying an extra $75 a month for the 'privilege' of parking in a lot that I might get towed out of anyway'
I can't help but wonder if the tow operator has some kind of 'arrangement' with the lease office.
If you are more than a day or two late on your rent, they put a bright yellow (or pink, I forget) FAILURE TO PAY RENT legal carbon copy on your door. It sure looks a lot like an eviction notice and I guess it's supposed to scare or embarrass you.
The office once credited my rent check to another resident's unit, then the Avalon legal counsel send me a court summons for failure to pay rent. So I had my bank prove that the lease office DID cash my check. So that was another near-heart attack that was totally not my fault.
Noise is SUBSTANTIAL: trains, the TV in the bedroom of the guys next door, the loud thumping of the people above you...hope you have earplugs.
One of the staff is almost always in the middle of a personal call. Baby mama drama, usually. Not professional.
On the upside, maintenance requests are handled pretty quickly. And our many guests have complimented the looks of the apartment and neighborhood. But those two good things, mixed with all the bad things, sure ain't worth THIS kind of money.

Totally agree with this review. This is not a luxury building, just luxury prices. The staff doesn't seem to care about the happiness of the residents once they move in. The smallest requests are answered with, oh we don't do that. For the outrageous prices they charge to live here, the staff should be a little more accomadating. Expect to wait 15 plus minutes for someone to help you when you go into the office, even just to pick up a package. I could go on, but what's the point? I'm out of here when my lease is up.
