When I was looking for a place to stay closer to my new job, I hunted all over MoCo for a great place to call home - and Avalon Fields is it. My apartment is wonderful (I have one of the lofts), and when I first moved in, there was fresh carpet and fresh paint. Maintenance requests are always answered within 24 hours, usually in a few hours. And, as someone who shops online regularly and has to "fetch" packages from the front office, I have found each of them to be wonderful people - very friendly, very courteous, even teasing about my spending habits, but always pleasant. This place is a real gem in MoCo - which is historically full of rude folks.

My only complaint is that the class of the residents has decreased dramatically recently. While all the neighbors on the top floor are professionals or families, some newer neighbors have helped define "trash" for MoCo. I fault the management company for not having higher standards, but this is MoCo and of course there is a... melting pot of sorts for all classes.

I renewed my lease here regardless and am happy about staying. The locale is perfect for shopping, commuting and weekend fun. It's wonderful to be a few blocks from bars, restaurants and a gorgeous lake.

The rates are reasonable, the walkways and landscapes are always maintained, and so far this has been a relatively wonderful experience.

I too have a loft and I was surprised at how big they are. I agree that the class of people has gone down hill and I have only been here for seven months.
