I can see how one would think that these people are money hungry... I have a 2/2ba with a garage for 1500... which is not bad considering the area... however the staff seems to just be interested in siging leases and once that is done then they don't really try and be cordial anymore... my first apartment was leased to another person, althought I gave them the 300.00 holding fee which they have had for over 6 weeks... I informed them when I would be able to move in, and everything was fine, but I had to change my move to exactly one week later... due to my job, since I moved my date I was informed that when you move in after the 15th of any month you have to pay a month in advance and that meant that I have to pay my next month's rent as well as this prorated portion for this month...which is over 2k... not to mention the additional 150 amenities fee... whatever that is.... I have never heard anything like this in my life!!!!!!!! But I am moving from another state and I don't have time to find another place, so I have to borrow money just to move in this place!!!! Now don't get me wrong, it's very pretty and seems quiet, but you definitely have to be aware of the hidden fees with these guys... and definitely document everything, get it in writing, because they are big liars and they have made so many mistakes with this move. I can't wait to just move out although I just got here... My attitude towards them is not so good.....

How can you complain on points that are in your lease which you should have read. Moving in anywhere after the 15th I have had to pay for the next months rent as well, that is nothing new and I have lived in many different states. I have not found any hidden fees since I signed my lease....because I read the lease most likely. They answered any question I had in regards to my lease if I did not understand it. As for the amenitites fee, that is the fee for pool, gym, clubhouse and such.

I don't understand charging for the next month as well. Especially, since it would have been cheaper for you to just take a trip to MD and drop off a few things. Instead of having to pay for next month in advance. Furthermore, if you paid for the hold then they shouldn't have given your apartment to someone else especially if it was only a 7 day difference in your move-in date. That's ridiculous. On top of that you were penalized for moving in late, yet if you didn't have to extend the date you wouldn't have had an apartment, regardless. Since they gave it to someone else. Whoever, replied to your comment obvioulsy has a hidden agenda even though you are responsible for you lease, the office breached their contract with you when they didn't hold the apartment.
